We install basement ceiling drywall.
Installations are completed with taping, mudding, plastering, metal corner bead application, sanding, priming and painting with Sherwin Williams CHB ceiling paint.
Some cities require 5/8″ drywall and some even require dual layer of 5/8″ drywall installed when unit connects to other units, or for other code reasons.
Basements ceilings can be of 1/2″ drywall or 5/8″ drywall, depending on noise, temp or other specific requirements.
Ceiling cuts such as those for electrical boxes, can lights, vents, fans, etc., should be cut to accurate measures and ensuring a proper seal between item and drywall.
